Die Millésima Blog Awards: Wir versprechen Ihnen eine Reise voller Entdeckungen.

Diese talentierten Bloggerinnen und Blogger erinnern sich gerne an den 29. Februar 2016 zurück, an dem – nach einer öffentlichen Abstimmung auf Facebook (1200 Wähler), aufgeteilt auf die 24 Finalisten – ihr Name schließlich auf der digitalen Weinseite enthüllt wurde. Mit Ungeduld warteten sie auf den unvergesslichen Aufenthalt in Bordeaux. Innerhalb einer Woche entdeckten sie weintouristische Angebote und andere Aktivitäten, lebten in der aufregenden Bordelaiser Weinwelt und wurden von Begegnungen mit großen Persönlichkeiten und Weinexperten bereichert.

Die sechs Gewinner aus den Vereinigten Staaten und Europa, haben eine Reise nach Bordeaux vom 2. bis 7. April 2016 gewonnen! Sechs Nächte und sieben Tage tauchten sie in den Wein und die Kultur Bordeaux während der vibrierenden Woche des “ Bordeaux Primeure“ ein. Bei diesem Besuch durften sie in einem der berühmten klassifizierten Weingütern von Bernard Magrez, Château Fombrauge in Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, sechs Nächte verbringen. Eine Woche lang verkosteten sie, wie Weinexperten, die Fassproben des 2015er Jahrgangs in verschiedenen legendären Appellationen Bordeaux (Pauillac, Margaux, Saint-Estèphe, Pomerol …). Das ist noch nicht alles. Ein außergewöhnlicher Abend der Preisverleihung fand in den überwältigenden Bordeaux Kellern von Millésima statt nach einer privaten Besichtigung der 4 Grand Crus Classés (Große klassifizierte Gewächse) von Bernard Magrez: Fombrauge, Pape Clement (Pessac-Léognan), La Tour Carnet (Haut-Médoc), Clos Haut-Peyraguey (Sauternes).

Lehrgänge und das Anwenden von Drohnen zur Überwachung und Analyse der Weinberge, eine Einführung in die Bearbeitung mit Tieren (Pferden) in den Weinbergen, standen auf dem Programm. Dann durften die Blogger eigenhändig ihren personalisierten Wein verschneiden in einem B-Winemaker Workshop der Magrez Familie! Einladung in ein Gourmet-Restaurant, eines der prachtvollsten der Französischen Küche zu einem Mittagessen regionaler Spezialitäten im 5-Sternerestaurant ’La Grande Maison’, unter der Leitung einer der besten Sterneköche Joël Robuchon. Ein kulinarisches Mittagessen, gefolgt von einer privaten Besichtigung des Kulturinstituts Bernard Magrez mit reichen Sammlungen der modernen Kunst. Verkostungen prestigereicher Gewächse reihten sich aneinander (Yquem , Malartic Lagravière, La Laguna …) und erlaubte ihnen den Austausch mit Pierre Lurton (CEO D’Yquem), Olivier Bernard (Eigentümer der Domaine de Chevalier), Caroline Frey (Eigentümerin des Château La Lagune) sowie mit weiteren renommierten Weinpersönlichkeiten. Die mittelalterliche Stadt Saint-Emilion, ein Spaziergang an der Mündung der Gironde, das Eintauchen in das Herz der Stadt Bordeaux (Unesco Weltkulturerbe), gehörten zu den erholsamen Momenten, die sie erlebt haben. Insgesamt war dieser Aufenthalt ein wahrhaft intensives Erlebnis, eine 360° Entdeckung des Bordelaiser Reichtums.

I am a former personal trainer, nutrition coach, weight loss coach and cycling instructor so I have a love for healthy living. I believe good wine and good food are part of healthy living. I have a master’s degree in history. I am a writer and researcher; I enjoy finding the hidden story. I have a true passion for music (though I have no music talent at all!) Madelyne Meyer (Suisse)

Biography: Madelyne Meyer introduces herself.: „I am Madelyne Meyer and I am originally from Switzerland. After studying business at a business school in Zurich, I moved to San Luis Obispo, CA to start my job as a tasting room rep at Edna Valley Vineyard & Bridlewood Estate Winery. At the same time I was also the assistant of the Central Coast wine education and events manager for Gallo. Today I live in Bordeaux, interning at a wine merchant called L.D.Vins as a marketing assistant and enjoying every sip of life. I have never been more interested in the art of wine than in this moment. In all honesty, it’s an obsession. Wine fascinates me. It originates from soils, so low in nutrients that hardly any other plant derives from it and lands on a table, usually surrouned by two or more people (or just me, myself and I). Biography: Regina Von Gootkin introduces herself.: “ Wine Esquire is an attorney by day (and sometimes by night) and an avid lover of wine. As an attorney, I focus on trademarks, real estate and commercial transactions. I’m an adjunct professor at a law school where I teach future haters lawyers how to file trademarks and talk to clients. In part, the motivation to start this blog was so that I could post lots of wine photos on Instagram without feeling like I was being judged for constantly posting wine photos. Now that I’m a wine blogger, it’s totally legit for me to do this. Win. Biography: Jeremy Wilson introduces himself:“I first fell in love with wine in 2004 when, at a friend’s dinner party, an old magnum of Bordeaux wine was uncorked and decanted. That is what started it all! My passion for wine took me from aficionado to wine professional in 2013 when I decided to go “all in” and make a career out of wine. I am a Sommelier at a winery in the Texas Hill Country. When I are not spreading the word of wine, I enjoy road cycling, playing the piano, antiquing, and flying airplanes. Tomislav Ivanovic (Serbia)

Biography: Tomislav Ivanovic introduces himself:“Born in Požega in 1978. I am arrived on to Belgrade’s cobbled streets when I started my English language studies at the Faculty of Philology (Belgrade University), and it still remains an unexplicable mistery of life how I ended up as the Head of Management Board Office in a local bank here. I set off on the life journey believing that what you learn and discover about others can teach you important things about yourself. Love of foreign languages and cultures has led me to more than 30 countries so far. There I got acquainted with wines of Italy, France, Austria, USA and other wine countries and figured out that Serbia also deserves to show its wine treasure.
